Fulcrum Speed 42

The Fulcrum Speed 42 is the first step of Fulcrum where form and function are the fundamental concepts.

The rim is made using a new composite mix of FF100 unidirectional high modulus fibers which, when precisely positioned together with a controlled resin, creates a product that works in the correct elastic range.

• 2-WAY FIT: it has been developed to make tubeless rims perfectly compatible with clincher tires and inner tubes. Thanks to a special imprint in the valve area, the inner tube is mounted with maximum precision, keeping the tube stable inside the rim. The same goes for the valve of tubeless tires, and the certainty of never having air infiltrations due to incorrect positioning during assembly.
• DRSC: The exclusive rim/spoke coupling system allows the alignment of the rim, spokes, nipples and hub by distributing the tension uniformly in every point, thus eliminating the most critical areas.
• MOMAG: A magnet that guides the nipples to the point of attachment with the spoke. Thanks to this step, it is possible to obtain a wheel without holes on the upper bridge, but with spokes tensioned by traditional nipples. This offers more reactivity and acceleration.
• USB-CERAMIC ULTRA SMOOTH BEARINGS: The hubs equipped with USB ceramic bearings further improve the smoothness of the wheels while reducing their weight and maintenance.
• AFS AXLE SYSTEM: is the solution developed by Fulcrum to fix the disc brake to the hub. The constraint given by the fastening striking surface allows for greater structural rigidity and more precise and powerful braking.
• RIM FULL CARBON TECHNOLOGY: A special HTG resin is used to make them, which has a glass transition threshold at higher temperatures than any other fibre used, guaranteeing incomparable braking performance.
• UNDRILLED RIM BED: The absence of holes on the upper deck offers a homogeneous product in every point, free of critical points subject to stress which, in terms of performance, means more responsiveness and acceleration.
